Bye-bye in 383

It is always bittersweet to say good-bye at the end of the semester. This semester is particularly challenging as we have been through so much together. It was 7.5 weeks ago (and 52 days, 1200+hours) when President Schulz announced that all classes were moving online. Everyone had to adjust quickly, uproot their lives, and find a way to survive a very challenging period of life. Unfortunately, the struggle does not end here. The stay-at-home mandates were extended through May, most have lost summer jobs and internships, and the future is unknown. I hope we all can use this time to breathe, take care of ourselves, and find new passions in life and creativity. It is OK to be sad and frustrated. It is OK to feel lost and alone. But please know that people care about you, you have so much to give, and it will be better soon.

This is my final week to wrap up grading so please turn in any last minute assignments as soon as you can. I have to submit grades on May 12 so I cannot accept any new submissions after May 10 at the very latest. If there are past assignments you have not turned in but you still want the points, please use this time to complete the work. You have all worked really hard and I want everyone to succeed in this class.

You have been terrific and I really enjoyed working with you on our various assignments and CCE projects. A big thanks to Casie, Sam, and Kate for serving as CCE Leads this semester.

It is hard to say good-bye but I hope to see you in the fall. My office is Jackson 200D. Please stop by and say hello.

Best to everyone. Have a safe summer. I will see you soon.

Rebecca
